Either, and you do not have to decide now. If the garden has got ahead of you, start with a one off tidy up, see what you are left with, then tell us whether you want us back. A regular round through the growing season keeps it at a tidy up rather than a rescue job. Change your mind later and we change the schedule.

We clear as we go rather than leaving heaps on the lawn. Cuttings, clippings and prunings get bagged or stacked, and we agree where they end up before we start. Taking green waste off site is regulated work in this country, so ask when we quote and we will tell you straight whether we can take yours, or whether it is better left for your garden waste bin or a run to the tip.

No. Grass gone to seed, hedges that have doubled in size and borders you can no longer find the edge of are ordinary garden work. We come and look, tell you honestly what it will take, and clear it in stages if it is a big one. One thing we do check is hedges in the nesting season, roughly March to August, because damaging an active bird's nest is against the law.

Yes. We arrive with our own mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers and hand tools, so nothing has to be left out for us and no shed has to be left unlocked. What we do need is access to the garden, and an outside tap for some jobs. If there is a side gate that sticks, or a code we need, tell us when you book.

Yes, though the work changes. Grass more or less stops growing from about November to March, so visits move on to the jobs that suit the season: leaves off lawns and paths, hedges and shrubs cut back while they are dormant, borders cleared and dug over, and bins washed out. A lighter winter schedule, with the regular cut picked back up in spring, suits most gardens.

Yes. We are a cleaning company first, so one booking can cover the clean indoors and the grass, hedges and borders outdoors, on one invoice. It is worth doing it that way on a property between tenants or about to go on the market, where the outside is what people see before they get to the front door.

Through the growing season, roughly March to October, most lawns want doing every couple of weeks, and closer to weekly in May and June when the grass is running away with itself. Leave it much longer than a fortnight and the cut takes off more than the lawn likes, with a lot more to clear up afterwards. Outside that window growth slows right down and the odd tidy is usually enough.

Yes. Bins get washed out and wiped down, inside and out, which is the one nobody gets round to until a warm week makes it obvious. We do them on a garden visit, or alongside a patio and driveway wash. If you have several bins, or bins across more than one property, say how many when you ask for a quote.

Yes, and it is worth booking the two together. Patios gone green, block paving streaked with moss, paths, steps and decking are all covered on our pressure washing page. Doing it on the same visit as a garden tidy saves a second trip and gets the whole of the outside sorted at once.
