Will washing my block paving at Wixams wreck the joints?
The wash does take the sand out, which is normal and unavoidable. What matters is what happens next. We sweep the drive, put kiln dried sand back into the joints and brush it in, then ask you to keep off it for a day. Leaving the joints empty is what lets the blocks move.

Yes, at much lower pressure and with a fan tip, working along the grain rather than across it. A lot of the garden decking we see out at Bromham, Renhold and Great Barford is soft old softwood, so we test a board at the back before we do the part you look at.
When is the best time of year to book?
Spring and early autumn are the sensible windows. Around the Ouse villages the leaf fall from mature trees puts the green growth straight back on a north facing path, so an October wash and treat holds better than a September one. In town, most people book before summer because the yard is about to get used.
Will black spot come off our sandstone patio?
It will improve a great deal, and sometimes it will not go completely. Black spot lichen roots into the stone, so it needs a treatment left to work as well as a wash. Shade feeds it. The yards behind the tall terraces along De Parys Avenue and Castle Road get very little sun, so we treat, wash, then treat again if anything is still holding on.
