- Market days rule out the town centre There is a market on Market Hill on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and the frontages are narrow with nowhere to park a van or run a hose. Patios and paths in the centre get booked for a quieter day.

Our drive is block paving on Lace Hill. Will the sand wash out?
Some always does, which is why we re sand at the end. Kiln dried sand is brushed back into the joints once the blocks are dry, so they stay locked together. Skipping that step is why a drive can start to rock underfoot a season after it was cleaned.
The path near Bourton Park floods every winter. Is washing it worth it?
Yes, but time it for spring. That low ground by the Great Ouse silts up when the river rises, and Storm Bert put water through in November 2024. Washing once the wet months are behind you means the silt comes off once rather than twice.
Can you jet wash a listed frontage, or the path in front of it?
The path yes, the building with care. After the 1725 fire the centre was rebuilt in soft brick and lime mortar, and high pressure strips pointing and paintwork. We wash the paving at low pressure and hand clean anything up against the wall itself.
Our sandstone patio is covered in black spot. Can you get it off?
Usually much improved, not always gone completely. Black spot lichen roots into the stone, so it needs a chemical treatment as well as the wash, and sometimes a second visit. Shaded sandstone in the village gardens at Maids Moreton, Gawcott and Chackmore holds damp under the trees and it comes back faster there. We will tell you what is realistic before we quote.
